It seems DeskScapes' internal player doesn't play well with TMPGEnc encoded files. I see the same funniness with it where the videos don't size correctly. Also, sometimes the text on icons are messed up, but that is another issue. I don't use the internal player so I had forgotten all about it.

To answer your question...I get most of my video from HD video captures off of TV. I've also done some from HD video's I've found on the web.
