Hello Terry,

For some reason i couldn't send you e-mail so i copied the e-mail contents here.

Well i've seen the AMS by gef at work, the automatic menu system as is named, which is in actuallity a clever use of a simple script. Well to cut things short the AMS has one basic disadvantage, you have to have your menus at a specific place, locked permanently. As you see with my skin i'm trying to provide functionality, resolution independancy, simplicity and freedom of screen space by combining all parts in one multifunctional module. Now the problem i stubmled upon is with the menus, that is why i put those tabs on top,it's just a draft of the final version. Imagine those tabs to be inside the center of the module, where system stats are. I mean when you click e.g. the Games tab, that tab would open at a specific coordinate inside the parent object, which will be the Basis in this occasion. As you know the objects in DX may have two coordinates,if they are floating on screen they have screen resolution coordinates. If they are in a state of child the coordinates are measured withing the area of their parent object. That is what i want to achieve. To make an object open at a specific x,y coordinate within it's parent object, without the screen resolution or main object position to matter. I didn't have enough time for experimenting with this, nor do i have time as we speak, due to midterms at University, but i'll have time the coming weekend to play a little with it,maybe send you some first sample experiments. I really love this new DX Scripting functions, it's easy to use, even though i know nothing of programming (crazy as it seems i'm a History-Archaelogy student, not a computer science or anything like that, just love skinning since i've discovered it six years ago).

BTW i really love your works, they combine both functionality and beauty. I hope you win the contest because you deserve it. Thnx for the help offered, i greatly appreciate it.

Greetings,

Harry

Me again. No not Washington, altough Iv'e been there (I drive truck) Bellevue Ne. The original ground zero. Home of S.A.C now called STRATCOM. Sorry to hear about the idiots comments. I know how you feel though, I get upset when somebody says stuff like that about me or my work or God help them, my family There were a couple favorable comments about it on my SS. So there is interest in the skin.
Looking forward to the completion of your new suite. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone get you down. Like everyone says do it because you like it, if others like it it's icing on the cake.

take care

Hi MD,
Just discovered this guest book stuff (yeah I'm new) and wanted to thank you again for uploading OctaDesk. I got the daily shot today with it. A comment on my shot wanted to know if it was available but I couldn't find it.

Thought you might want to know.

Thanks again...TAPPER
