I'm amazed at some of the negative comments about the "Red Giant" dream. RG is a work of art and it's foolish to play armchair critic and pick apart any artist's work. I wonder if these same "critics" would have had the temerity to have written Jimi Hendrix and said that he should have done the solo in "Voodo Chile" differently? Thanks for the dreams MB!

Hi I've got xpscene dreamscene alternative. but i can only, use wmv files any chance i could have 1 :) i'm loving the ripple green rays and scribble green rays. could u upload the wmv on something like rapidshare or somethink there so cool these dreams are :D
Aug 26, 2008 3:00 PM
Thanks thelordofruins for getting it! OK, I'll pull out my music tools and do some playing.
Aug 24, 2008 8:23 PM
Oh, I forgot. The music that wouldn't become repetitive? Ambient...Brian Eno. Or old fashioned (?) space music...
Aug 24, 2008 8:06 PM
Dude, I didn't realize I was a "fan" of yours until I found out I had downloaded all your dreams. "Fractal Fountain" is coldly grand. You should have sinister ethereal music playing in the background. And "Welcome to the Machine" great also. I think we have been using the same recreational drugs or something, cause I get it. Grand Job!

Nice Dreams TheMasterBaron. Hey mind to ask you what do u use to make them. as u can see, i like to make videos. I got many collections of beautiful videos. can u tell me please
Aug 9, 2008 9:37 PM
Utopia Rising, sorry to hear your having trouble. Sounds like a codec issue as the dream runs at 25fps. How well does my other dream "Fire Storm" run on your system? (What system do you have?)
Aug 8, 2008 8:26 AM
I purchased your rotating world dream and its just too choppy to use. Whats up?? Kind of a waste of money right now.
Jul 19, 2008 1:33 AM
i just wish i can afford your premium stuff, that utpoia prime one is amazing.
Jul 19, 2008 1:32 AM
great stuff masterbaron. your dreams have made my desktop a better place to keep my icons
May 1, 2008 8:23 PM
Great work on the dreams, always look forward to when you come out with a new one! I'd love to see a well done dream of a lightning storm some day, would make for a great backdrop :)
Apr 29, 2008 8:29 AM
How does one get a hold of you for ideas about new dreams?
Apr 19, 2008 3:10 AM
Bressler, thanks you for visiting and leaving a kind comment. Yes I have considered adding audio. In fact, AvP is my first and only sound dream. It was kind of a joke dream, but a dream none the less. But, with the dreams I'm currently involved in making, all I can think to add is music. But, I think the same music in a loopwould get repetitive and conflict with actual music someone may be listening to.
Apr 18, 2008 10:57 PM
hello. i recently got vista ultimate and from what i have seen, you are indeed the master at creating these things. i only realized today that these things will also play audio. have you considered adding audio to any of your awesome creations??? thanks.

I have purchased Utopia Prime Dream and when I attempt to load it Windows Explorer immediately crashes, restarts and dream won't load. All (7) other dreams are OK. I am using Windows Aero, not WB at this time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi MasterBaron, thank you for this beautiful dream. A year ago I purchased the fast-turning version, but i would like to have this slow version, unfortunately I deleted the e-mail, so i can't prove anymore that i purchased it. Nevertheless i can give you my personal data so you can see that i purchased it. The email-button on top of this page doesn't work here, so maybe you can contact me at dvdh80@hotmail.com Thank you in advance :)

Mater, hello again! Im back for a little more advice if you can spare it. I feel like a school kid asking the teacher for help he he he. I also use TEMPEnc 4.0 express and Im having some trouble getting my files to the correct resolution. Im encoding as Mpep2 MP@HL System video only Pixel 4:3 VBR average 20000 KB/s with a size of 1920 x 1080 yet all my files will not fill the screen using deskscapes internal player. Am I doing something wrong here? Thank you for any advice you might have. Malley

Nice work, I keep an eye out for your name and submissions.
Feb 2, 2008 7:56 AM
Master I know you are the best and I believe I need some help with a Dream Ive been attempting to correct. I believe it to have a Codec problem for most people downloading the dream however I dont have any other software to recode it with and its becoming quite a splinter in my side. Could you possibly do me the honers of downloading it and give me your opinion on what the problem might be(if your not too busy)? It seems to work fine for me and all of my friends PCs but Im having some issues here on Wincustomize? The file is AngelWings.Dream in the gallery. If you would like you could email me with the results at mprouse01@gmail.com and thank you
Jan 27, 2008 1:23 AM
I don't think you'll find an encoder that will do that. What your looking for is a video editing tool. I use Adobe After Effects, but I'm sure you can find a free one that will do it. Have you tried Microsoft Movie Maker?
Jan 21, 2008 5:11 PM
TheMasterBaron, since your the best here in creating Dreams, I wanted to pick your brain. I'm looking for an encoder or utility that will encode a video clip in reverse. Preferably one that will do mp2 or wmv HD. I want to try something different in my search for the perfect loop. Anything come to mind?
Jan 3, 2008 4:03 PM
TheMaterBaron Just downloaded Utopia Prime dream, WP and logon, just popped by to say these are fantastic. Well done and thank you Mos

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for the red sea dream again!
Nov 13, 2007 4:33 PM
shaunna,

You want something like Adobe After Effects. Check out tutorial 37 and 38 here http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials.html. It has an example of converting a photo to pseudo 3D along with a lot of other great tutorials.
Nov 10, 2007 1:48 PM
Hey TheMasterBaron, I have a question for ya, I have a picture that I would like to make into a dream and I am not too sure on how it all works, where would I begin converting my still into a video file. Once I have a video file of my image, would I select single image or multiple images in dream maker to create a dream

I would appreciate your help with this and if you have or know of a tutorial, could you please provide a link to it...many thanks shaunna
Oct 19, 2007 7:01 PM

Oct 17, 2007 11:41 PM

Jun 22, 2007 3:41 AM
no, i dont know anyone with ultimate, and im running the hacked version on vista home, so i can only use teh mpeg's u kno.

i def liked ripple screen rays and scribble rays green, those are pretty sick, if u need an email adress just let me kno
Jun 21, 2007 2:16 PM
end3ris1337, I take it you don't have Vista Ultimate If you know someone who does you can run the dream on their computer and pull the video from this folder "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\DeskScapes\ExtractedData"

I do have these in WMV and MPEG form, but it would take an entire day to uploaded them somewhere due to my slow upload speed. Give me a few your interested in and I'll upload a couple for you.
Jun 21, 2007 2:06 PM
ikjadoon, My dreams are WMV and are high resolution. You can try the LowRes MPEG2 versions and see if that helps. I have MPEG2 versions for almost all of my dreams. I've heard that the final version of Dream Scene may also improve performance.
Jun 19, 2007 7:04 PM
hey, i was wondering, and im new to this whole thing, if there was any way to have these in regular .mpg files or something, and not .dream. they are all pretty cool.
Jun 16, 2007 11:54 PM
Sure!

The *only* thing that could be improved on could be CPU usage. On your dreams, my CPU usage jumps up to 20%. Most other dreams keep it under 10%. This is on an E6600 @3.5GHz.

I don't know enough about video codecs to know why it happens, but I'm sure it does. I've checked Apollo, the two Scribbles, the two Rays, and Spout. All of them have this weird quirk.

Thanks and keep 'em coming!

~Ibrahim~

Thanks ikjadoon, and thanks for stopping by and leaving me a message!
Jun 12, 2007 2:07 PM
Hi, Baron. I would like to ask you for your approval in quite simple matter. I really like your dream works ( it could compete DreamWorks... ), I currently use your purple ripples. I wrote a program ( freeware, but I sell it for commercial use ) and I would like to create a presentation video for it. Here my questions comes: could I keep displaying your dreams while recording that video? They ( I was thinking about purple ripples or Flares ) would be used, of course, as a background for application's windows. Name of the dream, your name ( if you provide it to me ) or nickname and your URL would be, of course, mentioned in credits.
Jun 11, 2007 2:17 PM
They are absolutely amazing. I love the scribble ones!

May 28, 2007 8:23 PM
As I have said before, you the man..you are the DREAMMASTER
May 28, 2007 4:06 AM
Thanks Tripdog, I just finished looking at them. They look great! I like Euphoria, so I'll do some playing around and see if I can do something similar.
May 27, 2007 6:35 PM
Hey Baron, got a mission for you if you choose to except. if you can take a look at the euphoria and flux screen saver from really slick, you might have an idea on something to try your hand at. they are using almost the same fluid motion yours are...google it and check it out if you want...you really have a talent for this, keep it up...

May 22, 2007 2:33 PM
ro gue, thanks for stopping by. I have gotten a few request to slow things down on Orbit, and since your the first to post here, I'll take a look.
May 21, 2007 6:15 PM
Hey there, I really enjoy ALL of your work... especially orbit. Are you going to, or have you modified that dream since you last posted it? If so... I would love to have it... This is by far the best I've seen yet. Critique; slower if possible.
Apr 12, 2007 11:01 PM

Jan 1, 001 5:00 AM
Hi, just purchased the good night earth: Is it correct, the dream stops somewhere in the pacific jumping back to the beginning? Downloaded it twice, but the dl file seams to be ok (110.7 mb). Can“t believe it should have such a hard break. Tks TeX
Jan 1, 001 5:00 AM
hey masterbaron, your dreams are awesome, but is there any way you could make a couple of them a little bit smaller so us poor people with packed computers can enjoy them too? :) like spirit dance and/or clockmakers nightmare? i dont need a huge res or anything it would just be awesome to have. thamks for listening and keep making awesome dreams :)
